Jason T. WilsonCivil Prosecutor
Devoted Kansas City Personal Injury Lawyer
Jason Thomas Wilson’s legal career was forged through rigorous education and a series of experiences in personal injury litigation that left a deep impact on him. After graduating from Brigham Young University’s Law program, Jason landed work in a small-town law firm where he had the opportunity to work both prosecution and defense in personal injury lawsuits. This gave him the opportunity to see first-hand how powerful corporations make conscious decisions that put the general public at risk for the sole purpose of cutting costs. Through his interaction with injury victims both working on their behalf and, occasionally, against them, Jason found that one route was more rewarding than the other, and now works full time as a Kansas City personal injury prosecutor at Sanders.Law.
Fighting for Fair Compensation
One of Jason’s eye opening cases to how tight insurance companies can be with their money did not even involve an injury. In this case, a young woman was hit by a truck. No one was hurt, and the truck driver admitted fault— all the victim asked for was fair compensation for the damage to her vehicle. Even with their insured taking responsibility, the insurance company refused to pay and hired legal counsel to defend themselves. Seeing how reticent this company was to pay for the market value of a car, Jason realized that people who have been injured in these situations face tremendous resistance while fighting for recovery for their medical bills. He now completely devotes his work into protecting the rights of people who have been harmed by negligence.
Jason has been a Missouri resident for most of his life. After a brief time abroad in Russia for missionary work, Jason now resides in Smithville, Missouri with his wife and 4 boys, and is an avid sports fan.
