Kansas City man killed in SE Kansas traffic crash
A 21-year-old Kansas City man waskilled Sunday night in ahead-on traffic crash in southeastern Kansas.
The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the man as Corey Daniel Legaard.
Legaard was southbound on U.S. 169 in Montgomery County about 9:45 p.m. Sunday when his 2013 Toyota Tundra veered across the center line and collided with a northboundtractor-trailer, according to the patrol.
It was not known if he was wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported. The driver of the semi, a 37-year-old man from Florida, was not seriously injured. (This story was posted at www.kansascity.com).
