Alec J. LocascioAssociate
Sincerity, compassion, and hard work. These principles define both how Alec Joseph Locascio practices law and leads his life. As a child, Alec was exposed to poverty in Kansas City through his family’s work with the Salvation Army. In young adulthood, Alec continued his commitment to service by mentoring middle-schoolers in South Central Los Angeles.
While attending law school at the University of Missouri Kansas City – School of Law (UMKC), Alec founded an organization focused on providing Spanish-English language services, both to lawyers and those desperately in need of one. Alec also speaks Italian and was chosen to participate in a collaborative program between UMKC and the University of Rome – La Sapienza, where he studied Italian private law and comparative law.
After law school, Mr. Locascio worked as an Assistant Public Defender with the Kansas City trial office of the Missouri State Public Defender. As a public defender, Alec fiercely defended every client and forced the government to conduct a thorough and professional investigation in each case. This experience not only taught him how to try cases to a jury, but also how to “do good” in cases that didn’t need to go to trial. By helping a client get into drug treatment, for example, he would not only build a case for a reduced sentence, but also give hope to those who had none.
He has shown through his life experiences – Alec Locascio stands up for the little guy. As a civil prosecutor at Sanders.Law, Mr. Locascio is an ardent advocate for his clients and holds wrongdoers responsible for their bad or negligent behavior. He focuses his practice on cases involving personal injury, auto and trucking wrecks, insurance bad faith, and more.
