BLUE SPRINGS, Mo. – Authorities have identified a 28-year-old man struck and killed early Wednesday along westbound Interstate 70 as David R. Ritchie of Blue Springs.
Three vehicles struck Ritchie about 6:05 a.m. as he attempted to cross the interstate near Adams Dairy Parkway. Ritchie had just gotten off work at a nearby Wal-Mart and was walking home. He died at the scene, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.
Traffic along the interstate was narrowed to one lane while troopers investigated. (This story was posted at www.kansascity.com.)
